The Center for the Polyurethane Industry, also known as CPI, is an industrial group that represents the polyurethane industry in North America. Member companies work together to ensure that the industry handles chemicals properly and in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Membership in this organization, which NCFI holds, provides companies with many benefits.
Members of CPI are the opportunity to be involved in formulating the polyurethane industry's response to certain issues. They collaborate with others in the industry to ensure that everyone is kept up-to-date on the latest research and information about polyurethanes so that effective decisions can be made. CPI members do not just look out for their companies' own interests, but also for the interests of the entire polyurethane industry. Other companies receive training and support from NCFI, and the contracts at NCFI receive training and other vital knowledge in return.
Safety and environmental health are key concerns among polyurethane contractors. CPI members gain access to special health and safety programs that establish them as leaders in product safety. CPI establishes technologies for disposal and recycling of polyurethane products and is an innovator in methods for disposing of the solid waste that polyurethane contractors generate.
Membership in CPI also allows companies to advocate the use of polyurethanes worldwide. CPI promotes these products to decision makers and influencers, reducing the barriers to use across many industries. Member companies are able to network and collaborate with equipment manufacturers and producers from all over the world to discuss industry specific issues and innovations.
